A little something about the project

Parakeet Manual and Training Video

Manual Learning

This project was many firsts for me professionally. The manual utilizes 3D rendering to allow for complete control and easy manipulation of the product. This also allowed for quick and easy identification of parts and a very professional look. I had worked with the engineering department to learn the product, its purpose, the functionality and use cases. This allowed me to gain insight on how to display the product and eventually lent itself into videography.

Video and Editing

The videos were a run through of uses and how to set it up, another was generation of text-to-speech and how to install that file on the product, and the final is troubleshooting issues. All three of these were firsts in creating a studio with tight budgetary restraints, learning to shoot video in a studio, and the editing process as a whole. I enjoy doing videography and learning how to create in more dimensions is a whole set of skills I look forward to developing further.

Templating for Video

After creating the previous video, the creation of subsequent videos has become exponentially faster due to templating. With Batch shooting the instructional videos, the production time had shortened by several weeks to create these in rapid succession and with consistency. Parakeet's control's and operation method lends itself to be on the difficult side to control and the videos helped bridge the gap from the manual to calling our office with technical issues.
