A little something about the project

Wedding Save
The Dates

Family and Coincidences

We wanted to have a piece to send to our loved ones that was unique to us and was a symbol of our love for each other. We had our engagement photos taken by a local artist and friend of ours and used her photos for our entire wedding.

Another tie to the 70's theme was the cover image  included a polaroid of us, an ode to us being in the same photography class in college, despite never meeting each other until the following semester.

Themes and Working Together

I designed the save the dates for my wedding based on my wife and I's agreed theme and color scheme; a 70's boho style with more muted, earthy tones. The typography I used is reflective of the ones used in the 1970’s and the rainbows and stars were also pulled from that era of design. The stars were a nod to both of our love of astronomy and the rainbows added color and help weight the piece.
